Getting to know clients and candidates and understanding what's important to them comes naturally to Jo. It’s the cornerstone of her recruitment approach and is one of the main reasons she’s joined the relationship based WorkLife team.
From managing large enterprise accounts including telcos, financial and professional services through to boutique/start-ups she has amassed a wealth of experience in a career than spans more 30 years. Her first foray into recruitment was when she worked for a London Law firm and was involved in managing graduate recruitment. Fast forward to a few years and Jo traded in her HR roles to follow her passion in executive recruitment.
With a genuine interest in people and organisations, Jo has a reputation of service excellence. This is evidenced by the many longstanding client and candidate relationships she has developed and maintained over the years. Those who know her describe her as warm, caring and committed, and not one to shy away from a challenge. She is an innovative thinker where best practice is always top of mind.
Outside of work, the weekends find Jo with a wide and varied to-do list. With an ever-evolving farm that she shares with her partner in the Wairarapa, there is never a dull moment. Whether it be mowing the expansive lawns, pruning 100's of roses, shifting sheep or horse riding, it is certainly the good life.
