Described by his peers as the ideas guy who thinks deeply, Martin brings a varied background to Worklife. Over the last 20+ years has held business and market manager roles for two large not-for-profit organisations, has led outsourced recruitment models in New Zealand and Australia and has been a consultant, executive searcher, and leader in several recruitment firms.
Along with his colleagues, he believes that working in partnership with employers and candidates, asking questions, really listening and putting people ahead of margins is at the heart of their success.
While he knows it might sound a bit corny, being in balance is important to Martin. When he’s not working or enjoying time with his family, his ideal day involves his boat, his reel, some fancy lures and hopefully some fish. A keen fisherman, or to be more exacting a keen fly-fisherman, rates right up there as Martin’s altar ego.
